Welcome to Heritage Weekend 2012

We invite everyone from New York City to Albany to Buffalo, and everywhere in between, to become part of an exciting state-wide event – New York State’s Heritage Weekend. Now in its 3rd year, Heritage Weekend will kick-off the summer tourism season this year on May 19th and 20th. Last year Heritage Weekend was made possible through partnerships with 143 federal, state, and private organizations, with more than 1,160 volunteers that had attracted 20,000 visitors. Not only does this weekend celebrate our unique historical background but it also boosts our local economy. Heritage Weekend 2011 brought in more than $1.6 million in two days.
